The Cobb School Board held a work session on April 24, 2025, where several outstanding educators were recognized for their contributions to the arts in the district. The meeting began with the acknowledgment of Tiffany McLennan from Bryant Elementary as the elementary school level music specialist of the year. McLennan, a two-time teacher of the year, has been actively involved in various committees and serves as a mentor for new teachers. She is also a member of the National Association for Music Educators and the American Music Therapy Association. Accompanied by her parents and school officials, McLennan received her award from the superintendent and the board.
Following her recognition, Marla Baldwin from Palmer Middle School was honored as the middle school music specialist of the year. Baldwin, celebrated for her work as a choral director, was joined by her family and principal during the ceremony. The board also acknowledged Megan Skytuma from Harrison High School as the high school choral director of the year, although she was unable to attend the meeting.

Lewis, noted for her commitment to her students and her leadership roles, was present with her principal and district staff. Caitlin Jezebel from Dickerson Middle School was also recognized as the middle school level visual arts specialist of the year, praised for her dedication to inspiring students of all abilities.
