The organization, which provides lifelong services starting from high school graduation, is currently in the pre-permitting stage for an employee housing project. This initiative aims to create four one-bedroom apartments at one of their group homes, addressing the critical need for staff housing in the area. The project is funded through donations and grants, and the organization plans to allocate some of the housing to support the Human Services Council, reinforcing their commitment to community collaboration.

A significant concern raised during the meeting was the organization's financial challenges. They have not received a salary increase for over three years, leading to a corporate-wide deficit exceeding $400,000. This shortfall is attributed to the state legislature's failure to approve a supplemental funding package. The organization relies on state reimbursements, which range from $14 to $16 per hour, while striving to pay a living wage in Jackson.

The organization has also strengthened its partnership with the Teton County School District, allowing upcoming students with disabilities to remain in their community post-graduation. This initiative is seen as vital for fostering a sense of belonging and continuity for these individuals.
