Under the bright lights of Peachtree City’s community center, Tim from the Code Enforcement team shared essential guidelines for residents eager to celebrate their graduates. As the school year draws to a close, the excitement of graduation season is palpable, and with it comes the opportunity to display banners that honor this significant milestone.
Tim emphasized that from May 1 to June 12, residents can proudly showcase graduation banners without needing a permit. Each banner can measure up to 35 square feet, allowing for a vibrant display of school pride. However, there are important rules to follow to ensure safety and visibility within the community.
Residents are permitted to hang up to two banners at each subdivision entrance, but they must be mindful not to obstruct any subdivision or street signs. Tim cautioned against attaching banners to traffic control devices, fences, or trees, as these actions could pose hazards for drivers and pedestrians alike. Additionally, banners must be self-supporting, standing no taller than five feet, to maintain clear sightlines at intersections.
As the meeting concluded, it was clear that these guidelines not only help celebrate graduates but also ensure the safety and aesthetics of Peachtree City. With these tips in hand, residents can look forward to a festive graduation season that honors their achievements while keeping the community safe and welcoming.
