Residents of West Allis will soon see an enhancement to their local dining scene as the Plan Commission approved outdoor seating for Aroma Cafe during their recent meeting on April 23, 2025. This decision allows the cafe, located at 8100 West National Avenue, to set up tables and chairs under an existing canopy, providing a welcoming space for patrons to enjoy coffee and sweets in an outdoor setting.

The proposal, which maintains the cafe's current operating hours, was presented with a site plan that outlines the designated area for seating. The outdoor setup must comply with city regulations, ensuring that a six-foot ADA-accessible pathway remains clear for pedestrians. This initiative is part of a broader effort to enhance the streetscape along National Avenue, following sidewalk improvements made nearly a decade ago.

In addition to the outdoor seating approval, the commission also discussed a residential project involving a home addition.
