The court meeting, held on April 24, 2025, celebrated the athletes' impressive performances at the Texas High School Women’s Powerlifting Association state competition. Among the standout moments was senior Leah Alanis, who made history with a staggering 425-pound squat, tying the state bench press record at 250 pounds and achieving a total lift of 1,025 pounds. Her accomplishments earned her titles such as best lightweight squad and best overall lightweight lifter, showcasing the depth of talent within the team.

Head coach John Sanchez expressed his pride in the athletes, highlighting their commitment to training and teamwork. “These young women didn’t just win; they lifted each other to greatness,” he said, emphasizing the early morning practices that set them apart from their peers.
