Baltimore County officials are gearing up for a significant event in May, as the Women's Law Center prepares to honor key advocates in the community. During the recent SEVDA meeting on April 10, 2025, participants discussed the upcoming annual event, which will take place at the Rye Street Tavern in Baltimore City. The center will recognize individuals such as Vicky Snead from the Department of Social Services and Shelby Frank from the Bridal Center for their exceptional support to clients in need.
The meeting highlighted the importance of community engagement and participation, with officials encouraging members of the working group to share information about relevant events and initiatives. This collaborative approach aims to ensure that all stakeholders are informed and can participate fully in community activities.
In addition to the Women's Law Center event, discussions included the need for better communication among working group members regarding upcoming legislation that may impact their efforts. Although Senator Hettleman was not present, the chief of staff for a delegate partner was available to address any legislative updates that could be relevant to the group's mission.
As the meeting concluded, participants were reminded of the importance of staying connected and sharing resources to enhance community support and advocacy efforts. The focus on collaboration and recognition of dedicated advocates underscores Baltimore County's commitment to improving services and support for its residents.
