The Boyertown Area School Board meeting on April 22, 2024, celebrated the achievements of the Middle School West Math Counts Team, which recently excelled in regional and state competitions. The team won first place in the county competition, earning them a spot at the state level, where they finished eighteenth among 24 teams.
During the meeting, team members Brandon Rizzo, Daniel Kovacs, Brady James, and Anthony Murkovich, along with their coaches Christy Parish and Mallory Jacoby, were recognized for their hard work and dedication. The students shared insights into their competition experience, detailing the structure of the Math Counts events, which include sprint, target, team, and countdown rounds.
