The Cobb County Board of Commissioners held a bid opening meeting on April 25, 2025, to review several solicitations for upcoming projects. The meeting, led by Senior Procurement Specialist Cameron Evler, included the opening of six bids and one postponement.
The first item discussed was the postponement of solicitation number S3052, which pertains to the FY 2025 interceptor sewer rehabilitation project. This bid has been rescheduled for May 8, 2025.

- Advanced Sports Group: $305,183.13
- Capital Sports Construction, Inc.: $279,000
- Cornerstone Sports Group: $234,828
- Geo Services Southeast Inc.: $324,281
- Sports Field Inc.: $278,944
Next, the board reviewed bids for exterior and interior renovations at Boots Ward Recreation Center, with the following responses:
- Big Sky Construction Services, Inc.: $359,011
- Nix Fowler Constructors, Inc.: $511,197
- Prime Contractors, Inc.: $645,885
- WE Contracting Company Inc.: $526,268.54
The meeting also included bids for various services, including an in-home services program, home-delivered meal services, and senior center meal services. Notable vendors for these requests for proposals (RFPs) included Bartons Management and Consulting, Meals on Wheels Atlanta, and Cafe Social House.
The final bid opened was for design and building services for the renovation of fire headquarters, with responses from Catamount Constructors Inc., Hogan Construction Group, John W. Spratlin and Son, LLC, and MAP.
The next scheduled bid opening will take place on May 8, 2025. Cobb County officials reminded attendees that information on bidding opportunities exceeding $5,000 is available on the Cobb County website, along with preliminary bid results and approved bid awards.
