A significant development project is underway in Indianapolis, as the Metropolitan Development Commission granted a one-day waiver for written and posted notice concerning the Canal Village 3 initiative. This project, which includes a 33-lot scattered site infill development, aims to revitalize the area with the support of the Indiana Housing and Community Development Authority (IHCDA) and the city.

During the hearing, Hadiya Ahmed expressed gratitude for the waiver approval, which is crucial for moving forward with the project. The development is being spearheaded by BWI, represented by Melita Carter and Joe Secos, alongside legal counsel from Russell Brown of Clark Quinn Law Firm. The properties involved, located at 1140 and 1146 Rose Street, are currently owned by the city, highlighting the collaborative effort between city officials and developers.
