Under the warm glow of the Indianapolis City Hall, the 57th Annual Fire, Police & Deputy Sheriff's Community Recognition Luncheon unfolded, honoring the dedicated service of local heroes. Among the celebrated figures was Detention Deputy Talfikat Bello, a remarkable member of the Marion County Sheriff's Office (MCSO) since February 1, 2022. Known simply as Bello, she has made history as the first Nigerian member of the MCSO peer support team, serving as a vital link for over a hundred Nigerian and African employees within the department.
