Brentwood residents are set to see an upgrade in local sports facilities as the City Commission discussed the proposed installation of a new video scoreboard at Brentwood Academy during their recent meeting on April 24, 2025. The initiative aims to enhance the viewing experience for attendees at school events and sporting activities.

Todd, a representative from Brentwood Academy, reported on outreach efforts to gauge community feedback regarding the scoreboard. He shared that the academy contacted six neighboring residents who might be affected by the installation. A letter was drafted and delivered door-to-door, inviting residents to a meeting on April 17 to discuss the proposal. However, no residents attended the meeting, and feedback from those who were contacted was overwhelmingly positive, with only one individual expressing concerns.

The City Commission reviewed a visual comparison of existing scoreboards at Brentwood High and Ravenwood High, alongside the proposed design for Brentwood Academy.
