Joyce Halaby, the deputy public works director, announced the upcoming Arbor Day community celebration scheduled for Sunday, April 27, at 10 AM in George Washington Park. John Goss was recognized for 25 years of dedicated service, having started as a maintenance worker and now serving as the buildings and grounds maintenance supervisor. His contributions have significantly improved public facilities and parks throughout the city. Martin Gonzales was honored for 20 years of service, transitioning from a maintenance worker to a leadership role in the streets and wastewater division, where he plays a crucial role in maintaining the city’s infrastructure and supporting community events.

Additionally, Kyle Baum was acknowledged for five years of service with the Pacific Grove Police Department, where he has excelled in various roles, contributing to the department's operational success and community safety.
