North Charleston honors small businesses Imperial Perfection and Longhorn Clearing with awards

The North Charleston City Council meeting on March 27, 2025, shone a spotlight on local entrepreneurship as the city honored two standout small businesses for their exceptional contributions. The Small Business Enterprise Spotlight Award was presented to Imperial Perfection LLC, led by Samantha Archibald, and Longhorn Clearing and Demolition LLC, headed by Richard Mooring.

The award recognizes small businesses in the Tri-County area that not only meet the city’s vendor requirements but also demonstrate a commitment to quality and responsiveness in their work. The criteria for the award included being a registered vendor, engaging in competitive bidding, and consistently delivering quality services on time and within budget.

Mooring’s Longhorn Clearing and Demolition has made a significant impact, completing eight jobs for the city’s code enforcement department, including tree removal and lot cleaning, as well as major work at the Westcott golf course. Archibald’s Imperial Perfection LLC was also commended for its dedication and growth, showcasing the resilience and adaptability of local businesses in the face of challenges.

The meeting emphasized the importance of supporting local enterprises, encouraging all small businesses to register as city vendors to take advantage of opportunities. The council's recognition of these businesses not only highlights their achievements but also reinforces the city’s commitment to fostering a thriving local economy.
