Clover Park School District honors long-serving employees at award ceremony

During the Clover Park School District Board Meeting on April 14, 2025, a significant portion of the gathering was dedicated to honoring long-serving employees, highlighting the district's commitment to recognizing dedication and service within its educational community.

Executive Director of Marketing and Community Relations, Leanna Albrecht, led the recognition ceremony, inviting honorees to the front as their names were called. The event celebrated employees with 30, 35, and 40 years of service, showcasing the district's appreciation for their contributions to education and the community.

Among the honorees, Leah Bearden from Beechwood Elementary School and Robert Collins from Tilikum Elementary School were recognized for their 30 years of service. Laurie Minor from the Human Resources Department also received accolades for her dedication. The ceremony continued with the recognition of 35-year employees, including Karen Palmer from Lakes High School and Cammy Whitaker from Dower Elementary School.

The event culminated in honoring four employees who have served for an impressive 40 years: Yolanda Boyd Purcell from Lake Louise Elementary School, Maura Cohen from Special Education at Clover Park High School, Diana Dix from Evergreen Elementary School, and Jamie Price from Tilikum Elementary School.
