Baltimore County appoints Monika Dillard and Lauren Lapp to key educational roles

Baltimore County Public Schools welcomed two new leaders during the Board of Education meeting on April 8, 2025, marking a significant step in enhancing educational leadership within the district.

Monika Dillard has been appointed as the Supervisor of Assessment and Compliance in the Office of Assessment and Data Analytics. With two decades of experience in the school system, Dillard has held various roles, including science teacher and assistant principal at multiple schools. Her extensive background in research and assessment positions her well to lead initiatives that will improve educational outcomes across the district.

In addition, Lauren Lapp has been appointed as the Principal of Pinewood Elementary School. Lapp brings 18 years of experience with Baltimore County Public Schools, having served in various capacities from elementary teacher to assistant principal. Her diverse experience in different educational roles will be instrumental in fostering a positive learning environment at Pinewood.

The appointments of Dillard and Lapp reflect the district's commitment to strengthening leadership and enhancing educational quality.
