Kathleen Kosales, treasurer of LFCC, presented a compelling case for the allocation of $40,000 from the Lanai Economic Development and Cultural Program. This funding is intended to support at least four major cultural events annually, which aim to celebrate and preserve Filipino heritage on the island. She highlighted that recent workshops held on Molokai and Maui did not extend to Lanai, limiting local access to essential grant opportunities.
