The board emphasized that while the project is still in its early stages, the feasibility study is a crucial first step. Following this, a request for design funding will be included in next year’s capital plan, with construction timelines to be determined based on the study's outcomes.

In addition to the intersection improvements, the board also approved Articles III and IV, which involve transferring funds within the Department of Public Works budget. These adjustments are necessary due to staffing difficulties that have led to contracted work in various departments. The board noted that while the sewer department is now fully staffed, the water department is nearing full capacity, indicating progress in addressing workforce challenges.
