The Lombard Village Board of Trustees meeting on April 17, 2025, focused on several key ordinances related to alcoholic beverages and land use regulations. The board reviewed multiple amendments to the village code, particularly concerning liquor licenses and zoning adjustments.
One significant item discussed was an ordinance to amend the village code regarding alcoholic beverages. This included a revision of the number of available liquor licenses in the Class A/B-2 and A/B-3 categories. The change reflects the transition of Greek Islander Restaurant Inc., now operating as Greek Islands Restaurants at 300 East 22nd Street, from a Class A/B-2 to a Class A/B-3 liquor license.

Another ordinance proposed a decrease in the Class E VG liquor license category by one, due to the closure of Glass Court Club, which was previously located at 830 East Roosevelt Road.
The meeting also included discussions on amendments to the amusement tax regulations. One ordinance aimed to modify the definition of amusement for tax purposes, specifically excluding certain coin-operated devices that require registration and licensing. Another ordinance proposed that businesses holding Class MM licenses would no longer need to separately license coin-operated amusements.
In terms of land use, the board reviewed a request for a final plat of subdivision for the Eastgate Shopping Center at 837 South Westmore-Meyers Road. The petitioner sought several variations, including a reduction in the required lot area and adjustments to side and rear yard requirements.
Lastly, a conditional use request was made for a daycare center and office building at 55 West 22nd Street, located within the Office Planned Development District.
These discussions reflect ongoing efforts by the Lombard Village Board to adapt local regulations to meet community needs and support business operations. The board will continue to evaluate these proposals in future meetings.
