The Springfield Public Schools Board of Education held a regular meeting on October 22, 2024, where they celebrated the long-term dedication of several employees. This year, 26 staff members are reaching milestones of 25 or 30 years of service with the district.

During the meeting, four employees were recognized for their 25 years of service. Shannon Bossing, a fourth-grade teacher at Harrison Elementary School, was the first honoree. Katie Fry, a first-grade teacher at Harrison Elementary, received similar recognition, highlighting her lengthy career with the district. Lastly, Shelly Woods, a nutrition services worker at Pipkin Middle School, was celebrated for her 25 years of service.
