The LaBelle High School band is hitting all the right notes, recently achieving a remarkable score of 96.83 at a national competition in Nashville, the highest rating among wind ensembles. Band member Isabella shared her excitement during a Hendry County School District meeting, highlighting the unforgettable experiences the group had, including performances at the prestigious Schermerhorn Symphony Center and workshops with professional musicians.
Isabella recounted the thrill of flying for the first time and exploring Nashville, including a visit to the Nashville Zoo and a ghost tour of downtown. She praised the band’s director, Mr. Burton, for his leadership and the school board for their support, emphasizing the dedication and respect shown by her fellow band members throughout the trip.
School board members echoed Isabella's sentiments, noting the students' exemplary behavior and commitment to their craft. They celebrated the band’s journey from local competitions to national recognition, with one board member announcing a financial contribution from the local Moose chapter to support the band’s next adventure.
