Yeadon Borough is gearing up for an exciting Flag Day celebration, set to take place on April 10, 2025. The parade will now be held on Bailey Road instead of Church Lane, a change made to avoid potential conflicts with events at Holy Cross Cemetery. The parade will kick off at 11 AM from Community Park, inviting residents to line up along Bailey Road to enjoy the festivities.
This year’s celebration promises a variety of activities for all ages, including live music, food vendors, and a drone show. Organizers are also planning a special evening ice cream event at Kerr Field, aiming to provide a high-quality experience for attendees. Residents are encouraged to spread the word and bring their families to what is expected to be a memorable day.

The track meet will begin at 9:30 AM, with participants arriving as early as 7 AM.
The council also highlighted the importance of security for these events, confirming that the school district will provide security officers. They are working closely with local law enforcement to ensure safety during the busy schedule of activities at Kerr Field, which now includes flag football for young girls, softball, and baseball.
Furthermore, the borough is expanding its rain barrel workshops due to high demand, with additional sessions planned for May 27 in Upper Darby and June 3 in Mortonborough. The construction of a rain garden at Community Park is also set to begin soon, contributing to the borough's environmental initiatives.
As Yeadon Borough prepares for these events, community engagement and safety remain top priorities, ensuring that residents can enjoy a vibrant and secure atmosphere throughout the spring season.
