Over 3,000 students attended the event, engaging in competitions and educational activities. Notably, both schools completed a challenging contest called "Crazy Eights," where they produced a news show within an eight-hour deadline.

ALTV, the school's broadcast program, received the distinguished Mary Award for its monthly news show. Additionally, students Kyle Quincena, Emily Ramirez Garcia, Tyler Hansel, and Justin Rytkowski earned third place for their news story entry during the convention.
Doherty emphasized the significance of celebrating student achievements, particularly in national and regional competitions. He referenced educational research indicating that recognition fosters student success, resilience, and a sense of community. He noted that since 2022, the middle school broadcast programs have collectively placed in ten national and regional competitions, underscoring the need for public acknowledgment of these accomplishments.
