Scituate Police Chief Rawlinson promotes Travis Mallow to sergeant and hires new officers

Bullock, a retired patrol sergeant with 20 years of service at the Lincoln Police Department, holds degrees in criminal justice and management. Perez, a veteran of the Rhode Island Army National Guard, has experience as an explosives detection canine handler and previously worked with the Rhode Island Airport Corporation Police Department. Both candidates were sworn in, affirming their commitment to serve and protect the community.

In addition to personnel matters, the council addressed a legal update regarding the town's participation in a class action lawsuit related to opioid litigation. The solicitor informed the council that the town would dismiss its involvement in the case based on recommendations from national counsel.
