Arizona Joint Legislative Committee reviews family court orders amid allegations of abuse

The Arizona Legislature's Joint Legislative Ad Hoc Committee on Family Court Orders convened on April 14, 2025, to address serious allegations of abuse and mismanagement within the family court system. Representative Fink questioned the absence of an internal ombudsman within family courts, noting that while the Department of Child Safety has one, the courts operate independently and do not fall under the Ombudsman’s jurisdiction.
