Cobb County prepares for April 29 election and possible PSC runoff amid All-Star Game

Cobb County is gearing up for a busy election season, with critical dates and changes announced during the Cobb County Board of Elections and Registration meeting on April 14, 2025. The upcoming special general election on April 29 will cover Commission Districts 2 and 4, with early voting starting April 19 and running through April 25. Voters are reminded that absentee ballot applications must be submitted by April 18, and all ballots must be returned by 7 PM on election day.

In a significant development, the board is preparing for a potential runoff election on July 15 for the Public Service Commission, coinciding with the Major League Baseball All-Star Game in Cobb County. To manage the expected influx of visitors and alleviate traffic concerns, the board is considering relocating nine precincts within a three-mile radius of the stadium.
