Placer County boosts funding for Sun Rose Apartments housing project by $3.3 million

During the recent Placer County Board of Supervisors meeting, significant discussions centered around funding for supportive housing initiatives aimed at addressing mental health needs in the community. Additionally, the board approved a budget amendment for the fiscal year 2024-2025, allocating nearly $1.88 billion to the adult system of care. This amendment allows the Director of Health and Human Services to manage future adjustments within a specified limit, ensuring flexibility in funding as the project progresses. Importantly, the board confirmed that these actions are exempt from environmental review under the California Environmental Quality Act, streamlining the process for moving forward.
