The Morgan Township Historical Society held its April meeting on April 12, 2025, where community engagement and upcoming events took center stage. President Neil Westrick opened the meeting with a pledge of allegiance and a warm welcome to attendees, emphasizing the importance of community involvement.

Darren Cliff, the Park Project Manager, provided updates on completed projects in the Morgan Township Community Park, including new benches and walking trails. He also discussed future initiatives, such as a memorial tree program and various gardens, while noting the ongoing need for community donations to support these efforts.

The meeting also addressed some administrative matters, including confusion over membership fees that led to some residents paying twice. The society is working to resolve these issues and ensure clear communication moving forward.

In a show of community spirit, attendees enjoyed cookies provided by members Lisa Heiler and Shirley Swartz, fostering a friendly atmosphere. The meeting concluded with an open house, allowing residents to engage further with the society and its initiatives.
