The mayor began by celebrating the Seattle Thunderbirds' impressive season, noting their journey from the bottom to the first round of the finals, where they faced the top team in a double overtime match. Ralph expressed pride in the team for representing Kent and looked forward to next season.

In addition to sports, Ralph acknowledged the upcoming celebration of Visaki, a significant event for the Sikh community that marks the start of the harvest season and the new year. She extended warm wishes to those celebrating in Kent.

A critical reminder was issued regarding air travel regulations. Starting May 7, travelers will need a Real ID or compliant identification to pass through TSA checkpoints.
