The garden-style units are projected to take 10 to 12 months to complete, while the mid-rise units will take approximately 12 to 13 months.

The acquisition cost for the property is set at $860,000, with demolition costs currently being assessed through proposals from contractors. Young noted that while the demolition estimates were higher than expected, they are working with reputable contractors to ensure the project’s success.

Overall, the meeting highlighted the CDA's commitment to improving housing availability in West Allis through thoughtful redevelopment, with plans that prioritize community integration and modern living spaces.
