A local business is celebrating a significant milestone as it marks its 40th anniversary in Dearborn. Green Brain Comics, a beloved comic book store, has been a staple in the community since its original opening in 1985. During the recent Dearborn City Council meeting, Councilman Herrick highlighted the store's impact, noting its ability to attract visitors from far and wide, thanks to its unique offerings beyond just comic books.
Herrick shared a personal anecdote about visiting Green Brain with his son for Free Comic Book Day, emphasizing that the store provides much more than just entertainment. "There are books and memorabilia, posters, all kinds of things in there," he said, pointing out the thought-provoking nature of the items available and the conversations they inspire.
The council expressed gratitude to the owners, Katie and Dan, for their dedication to the community over the past four decades. As part of the celebration, Green Brain will also be selling commemorative t-shirts at the anniversary event, further engaging the community in this milestone.
