Subscribe for Free The proposed budget for the 2025-2026 school year totals $15.56 million, representing a 6.56% increase in expenditures. This increase is largely attributed to the addition of two new staff positions and rising costs in supplies and operational expenses. The district anticipates a total expenditure increase of approximately $957,139, which will be offset by a projected rise in local, state, and federal revenues.
Key revenue changes include a $467,600 increase in state funding, primarily due to higher subsidies for technical education, and a modest $10,000 increase in local revenue. The overall increase in funding will allow the district to maintain its commitment to educational excellence while managing a 3.96% increase in contributions from local districts, including Saucon Valley, which will see a 6.21% rise in its share.
The meeting underscored the importance of community support and the district's focus on maximizing educational investments. As enrollment numbers continue to rise, the board emphasized the need for ongoing collaboration with local stakeholders to ensure that the district can sustain its growth and continue to provide high-quality educational opportunities for all students.
