Town Meeting to Approve $93K for White Cliffs Architectural Preparation Project

The Town of Northborough is poised to take significant steps toward preserving the historic White Cliffs building, as the Select Board discussed a crucial funding article during their recent meeting. The proposal seeks $93,000 for architectural and related services aimed at removing non-historical additions to the structure, which have been compromised by moisture and mildew. This initial phase is essential for safeguarding the building's integrity and preparing it for future use, whether by a private entity or the town itself.

The project is expected to unfold in two phases. If approved at the upcoming town meeting, the first phase will focus on the necessary preparations and studies to facilitate the removal of the kitchen, ballroom, and other problematic additions.
