LagoFest set for April 26 with Roger Cougars and multiple food trucks

The Lago Vista Parks & Recreation Advisory Committee convened on April 9, 2025, to discuss various community activities and ongoing projects. The meeting began with a brief overview of the upcoming water aerobics sessions, which are open to all and scheduled for Tuesdays and Thursdays from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM. The event will feature multiple bands, including headliner Roger Cougars, and organizers are still seeking volunteers. Parking will be available for $20, with free bus transportation from the high school.

A proposal was discussed to replace the existing lighting and netting, aiming to enhance safety and functionality. The proposed upgrades would include new poles and LED lighting, with a 10-year warranty. The members discussed the need for further communication with the Comprehensive Plan Advisory Committee to ensure their suggestions are considered before the draft is finalized.
