Following the recognition of the finance team, Joanna Merrill, the director of human resources and communications, introduced Clint Kerperick as the new maintenance supervisor. Kerperick brings extensive experience in operations and fleet management, having previously worked in Iowa and most recently with Boerne ISD. His skills in safety and leadership were noted as valuable assets to the Fair Oaks Ranch team.

The council also addressed routine business, approving the consent agenda, which included the minutes from the previous meeting and the approval of council member absences. Additionally, the council discussed and approved the cancellation of the January 2, 2025, city council meeting due to its proximity to New Year's Day and the ongoing winter break for schools. The council confirmed that this cancellation would not impact city business, as a meeting is still scheduled for January 16.
