The Bonner County Board of Commissioners convened on April 9, 2025, to address several key agenda items, including transportation projects, community events, and updates on ongoing initiatives.
The meeting began with a discussion on the Bonner County Asphalt Projects for 2025. Commissioner Mulder confirmed that the roads in question are part of the county's five-year transportation plan, which prioritizes projects based on road conditions and traffic evaluations. A motion was made to award the asphalt project to Depoe Asphalt Paving Incorporated for a total of $3,912,304. The lower-than-expected bid was attributed to decreased oil prices and a lack of large asphalt projects in the area, leading to increased competition among contractors. The motion passed unanimously after a brief public inquiry regarding the cost.
