Caregivers advocate for better wages at IHSS meeting

She highlighted the financial strain on families like hers, noting that they are only 20 cents away from achieving a better contract for home providers. Cruz expressed that this small increase could significantly impact their ability to provide for their families.

Lucero Pantoja, a mother of two children with disabilities, also addressed the Board, emphasizing the vital role of the IHSS program in her children's lives. She described her caregiving work as both honorable and filled with love, underscoring the emotional and physical demands of her responsibilities.
