Lakeland School Board recognizes robotics team achievements during April work session

The Lakeland School System Board of Education held a productive business meeting on April 8, 2025, where community engagement and student achievements took center stage. The meeting began with a moment of silence and the Pledge of Allegiance, setting a respectful tone for the discussions ahead.

One of the highlights of the meeting was the recognition of students and staff for their exceptional accomplishments. This year, students from Lakeland Preparatory School were honored for their participation in the 2025 Tennessee Bridal School State VEX IQ Robotics Championship. Although they did not win the championship, their efforts were celebrated as they represented the school with pride.

In addition to student recognitions, the meeting included updates on various administrative matters. The legislative liaison report was postponed due to the absence of a board member, but the board remained focused on ensuring that all relevant information is shared in upcoming sessions.
