Tri Pointe Homes presents Oak Ridge development concept to Anna City Council

The Planning and Zoning Commission meeting in Anna, Texas, on April 7, 2025, focused on the proposed Oak Ridge development, a significant project that could reshape the area. Bruce French, representing Tri Pointe Homes, presented the concept plan for the development, which encompasses approximately 805 acres located west of Highway 75 along FM 455.

French outlined that Tri Pointe Homes, a publicly traded company with a strong presence in the Dallas-Fort Worth market, aims to create a community that features a mix of residential and commercial spaces. The development is expected to include single-family homes with average prices projected in the low to mid-$600,000 range, as well as townhomes and commercial areas at key intersections.

The concept plan emphasizes preserving the natural landscape, including large trees, lakes, and creeks, while integrating open spaces and trails throughout the community. French highlighted the intention to create a walkable environment, with amenities such as two community centers and various walking trails accessible within a five-minute walk from any home.

Additionally, the plan includes provisions for a potential fire station and discussions with the Anna Independent School District regarding a possible school site within the development. The project aims to align with the city's master concept plan and community desires, promoting a blend of residential living and natural beauty.

The Oak Ridge development is set to be presented to the city council on May 13, 2025, marking a crucial step in the approval process. The commission's feedback during this meeting will play a vital role in shaping the final proposal before it reaches the council.
