Indiana committee hears opposition to SB 289 amid DEI concerns

Hannah Beavan, a medical student from Southwest Indiana, also voiced her concerns, particularly about the original bill's focus on categories such as race and gender, which are crucial in the medical field. She acknowledged improvements made in the latest amendment but stressed the importance of maintaining DEI principles in education and healthcare.
