Boulder initiates 10 year historic preservation plan and online application overhaul

Boulder City officials are gearing up for a transformative year in historic preservation, highlighted by a significant update to the city's historic preservation plan set to launch later this year. This 10-year update aims to enhance the effectiveness of the program, which is undergoing its most substantial operational changes in history.

As a certified local government, Boulder has been invited to join the Heritage for All initiative, which aims to diversify the narratives recognized on the state register of historic places. A notable nomination in progress is for the Second Baptist Church, reflecting the city's commitment to honoring a broader spectrum of local history.
