The Martin County School District (MCSD) has introduced a new way for parents and students to access school meal information through Nutrislice, a digital platform designed to enhance transparency and nutrition awareness. During a recent government meeting, officials outlined how families can easily navigate the system to find menus and nutritional details for school meals.

To access the menus, parents are instructed to visit martinschools.nutrislice.com. Once there, they can select their child's school and the desired serving period, such as lunch. For instance, users can review Tuesday's menu, which includes options like breaded chicken legs, and view detailed nutrition facts for each item.

A key feature of Nutrislice is the nutrition calculator, which allows users to add selected menu items, such as diced pears and Florida-grown red bliss potatoes, to see a combined total of nutrients for a specific meal. This tool aims to help parents make informed choices about their children's diets.

Additionally, the platform offers the ability to print menus by week or month and provides carbohydrate counts for all menu items, further supporting families in managing their children's nutritional needs.
