Curriculum updates feature African American Chicano Latinx Asian American and Native American history

Pacific Grove Unified School District (PGUSD) is set to enhance its social studies curriculum with a renewed focus on diverse historical perspectives, following discussions at the recent LCAP Community Engagement Meeting. The meeting, held on April 5, 2025, highlighted significant changes to the curriculum that aim to provide students with a more comprehensive understanding of American history through the lens of various cultural experiences.
