Kingsburg inaugurates new pet-friendly park with amenities for community

A new park in Kingsburg is set to open its doors with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on April 12, 2025, at 10:30 AM. The park, which spans two acres, features a range of amenities designed for community enjoyment, including a walking track, agility obstacles for pets, and a dedicated small dog park area.

During the recent Kingsburg City Council meeting, officials showcased photos of the park's new facilities, including a restroom and chaise structures at the entrance, and highlighted the installation of artificial turf and solar lighting throughout the area. The walking track, approximately a quarter of a mile long, is lined with decomposed granite, providing a scenic route for early morning and evening strolls.

The park's design was influenced by community feedback and the efforts of Peters Engineering, Public Works, and the Community Services Commission, who have worked on the project for over three years. The small dog park will feature dual entrances and fencing to ensure the safety of pets.

Local businesses are joining in the celebration, with Save Mart Supermarkets providing refreshments and Kingsburg Veterinary Clinic offering free vaccinations and microchipping services during the opening event. This new addition to the community is expected to be well-received, providing a space for residents to enjoy outdoor activities with their pets.
