Taunton Public Schools celebrated its annual Recognition Night on March 26, 2025, honoring students who exemplify leadership and kindness within their school community. The event highlighted the remarkable contributions of students who not only excel academically but also uplift their peers through compassionate actions.

Among those recognized were Sadie Perry and Aria Rice, who have consistently demonstrated exceptional leadership qualities. Both students actively participate in classroom discussions and are known for their infectious enthusiasm for learning. They frequently assist classmates, whether by helping with science projects or sharing library resources. Their commitment extends beyond academics; Sadie and Aria volunteer their recess time to mentor younger students in the kindergarten classroom, showcasing patience and empathy that significantly enrich the school environment.

Principal Claudine Nichols also acknowledged three students from Easton Elementary School—Annabella Martins, Elena Rivera Robbins, and Raven Vargas—who have made a profound impact through their kindness. These young women have gone above and beyond to ensure that their peers feel valued and included, particularly those in the RISE program, which supports students with special needs. Their willingness to engage with all students, regardless of their circumstances, exemplifies the true spirit of community and compassion.
