The Taunton School Committee held its Recognition Night on March 26, 2025, celebrating the achievements of students across various grades and schools within the Taunton Public Schools district. The event highlighted the importance of compassion and friendship among students, with heartfelt acknowledgments from educators and administrators.

During the ceremony, three students were honored for their exemplary character traits. In third grade, Raven Vargas and Annabella Martins were recognized, while fourth grader Elena Rivera Robbins also received accolades. The event emphasized gratitude towards parents and caregivers for instilling these values in their children from a young age.

The evening continued with recognition from Benjamin A. Friedman Middle School, where Principal Dr. Sarah Ann Buckley acknowledged student Caitlin Parlato, although she was not present due to a dance class.

Principal Bert Delaney from Taunton Alternative High School expressed his enthusiasm for the event, calling it his favorite of the year. He recognized five students for their outstanding contributions, although two were unable to attend due to scheduling conflicts. Lim Titus was acknowledged for her involvement in the award-winning Junior Achievement program, and Bridal Correa was recognized for his volunteer work at the local soup kitchen.

The Recognition Night served as a reminder of the positive impact students have within their community and the importance of celebrating their achievements. The event concluded with a sense of pride and appreciation for the students, families, and staff who contribute to the success of Taunton Public Schools.
