A major development is underway in Hoffman Estates as demolition and mass grading commence at the former Cirrus headquarters site, paving the way for a new data center by Compass Data Centers. The project officially kicked off in June with a ceremonial event, and construction of the data center buildings is set to begin later this year, even as the old Sears headquarters continues to be demolished.

Public safety teams conducted forcible entry drills, tower ladder training, and learned new search techniques, enhancing their skills to better serve the community. A large-scale mock mass event training was also hosted, involving multiple neighboring municipalities and agencies.
