Northampton City Council announces winter warming centers and holiday wishes

During the Northampton City Council meeting on December 19, 2024, council members emphasized community spirit and safety as the holiday season approaches. Starting Sunday, December 24, the Manna Community Center and Saint John Church will serve as warming centers, with additional resources available at the Northampton Police Department and Senior Center. The city is also providing extra funds to local organizations for emergency winter shelter and hotel stays, ensuring that vulnerable residents have access to safe and warm accommodations during the harsh winter nights.
