Job fairs are making waves in Indianapolis, with Hallville leading the charge. The community recently hosted a successful near west job fair, connecting over 100 job seekers directly with employers. This initiative is set to continue, with the next job fair scheduled for May 20, promising more opportunities for local residents.

In addition to job fairs, February was a month of celebration and learning for the youth in the area. Franklin Road marked its 25th anniversary on February 22 with a vibrant event that included family story time, a historical presentation, and performances by students from Franklin Central High School. The festivities also featured fun activities like face painting.

Meanwhile, the Eagle branch library engaged young minds with a unique program called the Science of Chocolate, led by children's librarian Sandra Sarah Woodruff. Thirty kids participated, discovering the fascinating process of chocolate-making while enjoying delicious treats.

Irvington's Downey Avenue Preschool also got in on the action, hosting a special library tour and story time for preschoolers on February 3. The following evening, they held a pajama story time that attracted 11 guests, blending fun and learning for families in the community.
