Dallas is set to enhance its cultural landscape with a comprehensive renovation plan for a key facility, as discussed in the recent Quality of Life, Arts and Culture Committee meeting on March 25, 2025. The proposed upgrades aim to transform the building into a vibrant hub for arts and community engagement, featuring a mix of multipurpose rooms, a café theater, and a gallery.

The renovation plan outlines three distinct floors, each designed to serve various community needs. The first floor will welcome visitors with a grand entryway, a box office, and a gift shop, alongside essential support facilities like restrooms and dressing rooms. A notable feature is the café theater, which will accommodate approximately 150 seats, providing a space for performances and events.

Moving to the second floor, the design includes a dynamic gallery area, which will be relocated from the T Ball Convention Center, creating an inviting two-story open space. This floor will also house additional multipurpose rooms for meetings and practices, enhancing the facility's versatility.

The third floor will feature two new multipurpose rooms, ensuring that the building can cater to a variety of functions. Throughout the facility, improvements will include updated ADA compliance measures, ensuring accessibility for all community members.

The renovation is planned in three phases, with immediate attention to repairing the auditorium stage and renovating the lobby area.
