West Bend Council approves Westbury Bank naming rights for Aqua Park

The West Bend Parks and Recreation Commission convened on March 25, 2025, to discuss several key agenda items, including a significant naming rights sponsorship and upcoming community events.

The meeting began with a proposal for naming rights sponsorship at the Westbury Bank Aqua Park, located at Regner Beach. Parks and Recreation Director Ryan presented the request for approval of a seven-year agreement with Westbury Bank, which would establish the facility as the Westbury Bank Aqua Park. If approved, the bank would contribute a total of $60,000 to assist with the purchase of equipment and construction costs. The payment structure includes an initial $25,000 upon signing, followed by $5,000 annually for the next five years.

In exchange for their sponsorship, Westbury Bank's logo will be prominently featured on promotional materials and within the Aqua Park itself, including on four inflatable obstacles. Additionally, the bank will provide 150 co-branded tickets for free admissions each summer, which will be distributed through their branches. The agreement also allows Westbury Bank to use the Regner Beach House for community events on Juneteenth, along with complimentary tickets for their employees and families. The Parks and Recreation Department will also offer free use of rental facilities for the bank's financial literacy and fraud awareness forums.

The commission expressed enthusiasm for the partnership, noting the marketing benefits it would bring to the Aqua Park, which operates on a limited budget. The proposal was unanimously approved by the commission.

Following the sponsorship discussion, Mike presented a list of twelve no-fee events scheduled for 2025. These events include the Bachfest, Easter egg hunt, kids fishing clinic, and several community tournaments and sales, all aimed at fostering community engagement. Each event will still require a special event permit, ensuring compliance with necessary regulations.

The commission also approved a fee event for the West Bend Little League's Father's Day tournament, which will take place from June 13 to June 15. The tournament will utilize multiple parks, with fees applicable only at Riverside Park due to existing agreements with the athletic association.
